Community Co-production

We look to co-produce all components of our planting programmes with communities. For us this means supporting communities to steer and lead on all components of the planting programme and decision making processes. We start with the why: why are we planting the trees, how can they help to support the long term vision we have for our places, and help to address some of our urgent concerns? Next we think about what species we want to introduce, and where we want to plant them, aligning to this initial why. Care, connection and our relationships with trees is centred throughout; and for this we include the arts which can get to the heart of things.

Outcomes: Communities shape and deliver planting programmes in their neighbourhoods, that are responsive and impactful. Communities are meaningfully involved in decision making processes, supported through educational and explorative workshops. Each programme is unique through starting with the place, people, concerns, aspirations and cultures.
