The Benjamin Zephaniah Forest serves as a lasting tribute to the late dub poet, activist, musician, and actor. It features 65 trees, symbolising each of Benjamin's 65 inspiring years. Part of the forest includes an orchard and on each of the 65 trees are poems which were selected through an open call. This initiative was a collaborative effort with Burbury Park Community Forum and Birmingham Empowerment Forum.
This lasting tribute of 65 trees in the park have created lots more canopy coverage and homes for wildlife around the park.
